My name is Osayi Ekinadose, and I am the founder of Delight Cakes N Yummy Treats by Xuccessful. I am 24 years old and proudly from Edo State, Nigeria. I studied Public Administration at Auchi Polytechnic, where I developed skills in management, organization, and leadership.

Although my academic background is in administration, I have always had a deep interest in entrepreneurship and creativity. That interest eventually inspired me to start my own baking brand, where I could combine creativity, passion, and business.

Delight Cakes N Yummy Treats by Xuccessful is a baking brand focused on creating high-quality cakes and delicious treats for all types of events and celebrations. Our mission is simple: to bring happiness to people through carefully crafted desserts that taste as amazing as they look.

We specialize in cakes for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, and other special occasions. Every cake we create is made with attention to detail, creativity, and premium ingredients to ensure customers receive both quality and satisfaction.

Our business is located along Upper Siluko Road, Ogheghe, Benin City, Edo State, where we proudly serve customers within Benin City and nearby communities.

Osayi Ekinadose:

My inspiration came from my love for creativity and the joy that food—especially desserts—can bring to people. I realized that cakes are not just food; they are a central part of celebrations and special moments.

Whether it’s a birthday, wedding, or milestone achievement, cakes help create memorable experiences. Knowing that something I bake can become part of someone’s happy moment motivates me greatly. That realization pushed me to start Delight Cakes N Yummy Treats by Xuccessful.

Interviewer: How did your education at Auchi Polytechnic influence your entrepreneurial journey?

Osayi Ekinadose:

Studying Public Administration at Auchi Polytechnic gave me a solid understanding of organization, management, and planning. Running a business requires more than just skill—it also requires proper structure and strategic thinking.

The knowledge I gained during my studies has helped me manage my business operations, communicate effectively with customers, and make informed decisions that support growth.

Interviewer: What challenges have you faced as a young entrepreneur?

Osayi Ekinadose:
Starting a business at a young age comes with several challenges. Limited startup capital, competition in the market, and the need to constantly improve your skills are some of the obstacles I have encountered.

However, these challenges have also helped me grow stronger and more determined. They push me to keep learning, improving my craft, and finding new ways to satisfy my customers.

Entrepreneurship requires patience and consistency, and I believe every challenge is a stepping stone toward success.

Osayi Ekinadose:

In the future, I hope to expand the business, introduce more varieties of pastries and desserts, and possibly open a larger bakery space. I also hope to create opportunities to train young people who are interested in learning the art of baking.

My advice is to believe in yourself and your vision. Starting a business may not be easy, but passion, dedication, and consistency can take you far.

Success doesn’t happen overnight, but with persistence and hard work, it will eventually come.
